Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Delhi – Haridwar

    Welcome to your Char Dham Yatra journey! We will begin our adventure by driving from Delhi to Haridwar. On the way, we will complete your biometric registration for the entire Yatra.
    Upon arriving in Haridwar, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest before an exciting evening. In the evening, you will visit Har-Ki-Pauri and attend the grand Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Ganges. After this spiritual experience, return to the hotel for dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

  • Day 2: Drive from Haridwar to Barkot

    Rise and shine! After a fresh breakfast, we will depart for Barkot/Jankichatti, a picturesque hill station nestled at the base of Yamunotri. Along the way, we will stop to visit the famous Kempty Falls in Mussoorie. After a scenic drive, you will arrive at Barkot, where you will check into your hotel or camp. The rest of the day is free for relaxation and rejuvenation before your trekking adventure to Yamunotri the following day. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Barkot.

  • Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

    Awaken your spirit with an energizing breakfast as we approach Yamunotri Dham! Our journey begins with a drive to Hanumanchatti (10 km), followed by Janki Chatti (5 km). Here, you will embark on the first leg of your Pahad Char Dham Yatra with a 6 km trek to Yamunotri. You can opt for a palki, pony, or horse for the trek, available at your own expense.
    This trekking route weaves through a verdant valley adorned with conifers, rhododendrons, and an array of Himalayan shrubs.
    Yamunotri, situated at an altitude of 3,291 meters within the Bandarpunch range (6,361 meters), is the westernmost shrine of the Char Dhams and is revered as the source of the river Yamuna. Known to be the twin sister of Varna, the Lord of Death, the Yamuna is also honoured as the daughter of Surya, the Sun. The actual source of the river is located 1 km ahead of the shrine, emerging from the Champasar Glacier at 4,321 meters.
    Upon arrival in Yamunotri by afternoon, you can take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and perform your Pooja rituals.
    In the evening, we will retrace our routes to Barkot, where you will enjoy an overnight stay at your hotel or camp, complete with dinner.

  • Day 4: Drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi

    After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Uttarkashi. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Uttarkashi, located along the banks of the Bhagirathi River, is renowned for its historical sites, temples, and ashrams. In the evening, we have planned a visit to the famous Vishwanath Temple, which will be a highlight of your stay. Dinner and an overnight stay will be arranged at Uttarkashi.

  • Day 5: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

    Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a drive to the sacred Gangotri Dham, nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas at 3,048 meters. Upon arrival, take a holy dip in the revered river Ganges, also known as Bhagirathi at its origin. Visit the Gangotri Temple, an 18th-century sanctuary dedicated to Goddess Ganga, near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi worshipped Lord Shiva. It is believed that Ganga touched the earth at this remarkable site. The temple is a stunning 20-foot-high structure crafted from white granite. After performing the Pooja, return to Uttarkashi in the afternoon. Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodations in Uttarkashi.

  • Day 6: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

    On your journey to Guptkashi, start the day with an early breakfast and depart in the morning. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Guptkashi is 47 kilometres from the holy shrine of Kedarnath and holds significant religious value. It features ancient temples such as the Vishwanath Temple and Ardhnarishwar Temple.
    You must also complete your medical checkup for the upcoming trek to Kedarnath. After dinner, enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel or camp, preparing for a spiritually enriching day.

  • Day 7: Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath

    Following breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Sonprayag, the starting point of your 14-kilometer trek to Kedarnath Dham. You can hire a Doli, ponies, or a horse for the trek at your own expense.
    As you trek, you’ll be accompanied by the serene Mandakini River, a primary tributary of the Ganges that originates at Kedarnath and flows through Gaurikund. The tranquil atmosphere is complemented by the echoing chants of “Jai Bholenath” resonating through the mountains, and the misty vistas will leave you in awe of the valley’s natural beauty. After completing the trek, check in at the Government Camps/Lodges in Kedarnath for rest. Enjoy a healthy dinner and a pleasant night at the lodgings.

  • Day 8: Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi/Rudraprayag

    On the eighth day, prepare for the darshan of Kedarnath Ji. Rise early to freshen up and arrive at the temple by 4:45 AM for the ‘Abhishek’ ceremony to Kedarnath’s Lord Shiva. Visitors are allowed into the ‘Garbha Griha’ to touch the idol and offer their respects.
    After your darshan and Pooja, exit the temple and return to the Government Camps/Lodges for some time to relax. Later in the day, you’ll trek back 20 kilometres from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. Vehicles will be ready for your return trip to the hotel in Guptkashi or Rudraprayag. Conclude your day with dinner and enjoy an overnight stay in Guptkashi or Rudraprayag.

  • Day 9: Rudraprayag / Guptkashi – Joshimath – Badrinath

    Good morning! After your morning meal, check out of the hotel by 8:00 AM and embark on your journey to Badrinath temple, passing through Joshimath. Badrinath is a significant pilgrimage destination revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is situated at an altitude of 3,133 meters.
    As you travel along the scenic Ghat roads, you will arrive in Badrinath. Upon arrival, check into your hotel, take some time to rest and refresh, and prepare for your evening darshan at Badrinath Temple. Before entering the temple, dip in the Tapt Kund (Hot Spring) to purify yourself. The temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, stands 15 meters tall and is designed in a conical shape topped with a gilt bull and spire. After your spiritual experience, return to the hotel for dinner and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay.

  • Day 10: Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag

    Your day will begin with another darshan at Badrinath Temple. Afterwards, return to the hotel for breakfast. Following your meal, prepare for local sightseeing in Badrinath, exploring key attractions such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti Temple.
    In the afternoon, check out from the hotel and depart for Rudraprayag via Joshimath, stopping at Karanprayag along the way. Rudraprayag is known for its deep religious significance amidst stunning natural beauty and tranquillity. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, taking in the charm of Rudraprayag. Relax and have a delightful overnight stay.

  • Day 11: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh

    On the 11th day of your tour, start with an early breakfast before setting off on a downhill drive to Rishikesh, another spiritually significant town known as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World.’ Situated in the foothills of the Himalayas at the confluence of the River Ganga and River Chandrabhaga, this pilgrimage town in the Dehradun district is famed for its adventure sports and spiritual centres.
    Upon arriving in Rishikesh, enjoy an assisted transfer to your hotel, where you will complete the check-in process and rest for a bit. Later, venture out for sightseeing—ensure you don’t miss the iconic Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula.
    In the evening, experience the Ganga Aarti, a sacred ritual performed on the ghats of Rishikesh. This gives you a profound insight into Hindu culture and promises to be a spiritually uplifting encounter. Afterwards, return to the hotel for a restful overnight stay in Rishikesh.

  • Day 12: Departure to Delhi

    It’s always hard to say goodbye as your journey ends and today marks the conclusion of your Char Dham yatra. Begin your final day with breakfast at the hotel and check out early. We will drive you back to Delhi, where you will receive assisted transfer services to the railway station or airport for your onward journey.
